So I’m afraid today’s post is going to be somewhat short… I’ve spent the weekend immersed in Chris Guillebeau’s World Domination Summit, and I am beat!
It’s been an amazing weekend, full of incredible speakers, fabulous food, and some of my favorite people in the world!
There are so many thoughts and ideas I can’t hardly wait to share with you… except that I’m also too exhausted to type much that’s coherent. So for now, I’d like to share with you a small selection of my favorite* people from the weekend;
*You may notice that I have a lot of favorite people, but I decided that’s ok, there’s always room for more favorites! This is just a sampling of the whole… sadly, I’m too tired to remember, or write about, each and every one. Anyone I’ve missed, I do apologize – I still love you!

Charlie Gilkey & Angela Wheeler, of Productive Flourishing; not only are they crazy smart and helpful when it comes to business, they’re also just incredibly sweet and generous. I had the distinct pleasure of staying with them for the weekend… the only downside of which seems to be that I didn’t actually get to spend much time with them (I’m laughing at the irony of this. Or, well, I would be, if I weren’t so tired).

Pam Slim, of Escape From Cubicle Nation; one of the sweetest, most grounded women I’ve had the pleasure to meet, her keynote speech was beautiful! I’m always inspired by her, by the stories she shares, and the love she expresses to everyone she meets. Also, she gives incredible hugs

Pace & Kyeli Smith, of Connection Revolution; these two are hands down my favorite couple ever to just watch interact with each other. They are so incredibly loving towards one another, and even when they’re ‘fighting’ they remember to embody all the things they teach about communication and compassion. Also, they bring out my sassy, and are just way too much fun to hang out with!
*’fighting’ gets air quotes, because they’re version of fighting looks like what most people would call a ‘discussion’! So much love and respect for these two ladies, this shit is not easy.

Tzaddi Gordon, of ThriveWire Media; one of my fabulous fellow LiftOff-ians (of which there are many!), I was so thrilled to see that she had come all the way from Canada to join in the fun! She may seem sweet and quiet (which she is), but there is an incredible depth of heart in her. It never ceases to amaze me how she can express so much, while saying very little – kind of like her designs!

Yolanda Facio, of Red Hot Momentum; one of the few new people that I met and had a chance to connect with deeply, I swear Yolanda could be my long lost twin. We’re frighteningly similar… and yet, polar opposites in ways that make it crazy fun to hang out! I swear I could talk to this lady for hours and not get bored (the woman is seriously smart, and knows her stuff).

Michelle Russell, of Practice Makes Imperfect; another of the new people I got to meet and adore. She seemed a bit shy and reserved, but once we got a chance to get to know each other, Michelle and I enjoyed many a fascinating conversation – often with Pace & Kyeli leading us along into trouble!

Patty K; Patty was the only person at the entire event that I actually went up and introduced myself to. I pride myself on not being ‘fangirlish’ about meeting people I only know virtually (in the sense that I totally know all about them, but they have no idea who I am)… but I walked up to her, and the only thing I could think to say was, “You have no idea who I am, but I love you.” … … … Fortunately, we managed to have a fairly decent conversation after that, as well as a few more later (when I got over being a fangirl
)

Christine Martell; I only really got a chance to hang out with her at the very end of the weekend… but in the short time we spent, I’ve fallen completely in love! I had the honor of getting to experience an Image Cards session (at Yolanda’s insistence – thanks Yolanda!), which showed me so much about myself that I’ve been avoiding. I’ve made some major changes in my life over the next year, and I know many more changes are on the horizon… thanks to Christine, I have a good idea of what I want those changes to be!
